Purple Plum Torte
Cut this out, laminate it, and put it on your refrigerator door. It's just that good.
My dad sends me lots of recipes, but he’s been raving about this Purple Plum Torte for weeks. I took it as a sign to finally make it after I walked into Kroger Friday and saw plums were on sale. I’m so glad I did! In fact, this is the only dessert I’ve ever made where all three of us went back for seconds. True story.


This recipe was first published in the New York Times in 1983 and has since become a July-September staple for many. I think it’s definitely the perfect balance of sweet and sour and only takes 8 ingredients to make. Easy peasy.
